Festival of Arts Midwest

If you like art, you want to take in the annual art festival and the Festival of Arts Midwest’ You can attend both events taking place the first weekend in May at the fair in downtown Des Moines’ If you like art, is an ideal way for you to get two festivals for the price of one’ The center is a free show shuttle for those staying in the city and is considered one of the largest arts festivals in the Midwest’

CelebrAsian Heritage Festival

The second weekend in May, the Heritage Festival CelebrAsian held for over a decade’ This event will include cultural exhibitions, food, entertainment, rides and more, the carnival and is considered one of the biggest events of the family in Iowa today an event in Civic Center in downtown DesMoines’

Iowa State Fair

The State of Iowa is one of the largest state fairs in the country and was held in the same movie’ The living room features a large midway, entertainment, a rodeo competition and more’ It is held the second and third weeks of August each year at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines’

DesMoines Renaissance Fair

Labor Day weekend is a time when you can go back in time to see what it was like back in the Renaissance’ There are demonstrations, entertainment, vendors, craft vendors and artisans in costume this weekend’s annual Labor Day which is held every weekend, Labor Day in the city of Des Moines’

Festa Italiana

Motts Miniature Museum

The Motts Miniature Dollhouse is a museum of dolls and miniatures, California, USA’ Unfortunately, it closed in 1998 and the works were sold to other galleries, private collectors and specialty retailers, ending nearly 100 years of history’ The Motts Miniature brand still exists today in the form of an online store specializing in collections of high quality miniature and standard, and although the museum is no longer the name Motts Miniatures life’ It has become synonymous with style and quality in the world in miniature, and for many fans of the genre miniaturist, the loss of the museum due to lack of funding is a bad blow’

The museum itself began life in 1911 as a private collection of dolls and miniatures from the Mott family’ This family of Iowa said that his obsession with miniatures began eight years, Allegra, that you open your first box of Cracker Jack fell in love with the world in miniature’ From there, the Mott family in the history of miniatures is guaranteed’
